Infos about MISTWEAVER

Mistweaver was formed in October 1997 and the first rehearse was in January 1998. The style in those days was a mixture between Doom and Death. The band started the composition of the first stuff, still without a bassist and some months later the line up was completed and the first gigs finally came. After four gigs, the first changes of line up due to musical differences and the search for new members last longer this time, until June 1999 and then, after some gigs, the band recorded their first mini album “Sol Obscurabitur”at Oso’s Studio, released in June 2000. More gigs and in May 2001 “Dream’s Domain” was recorded at Tala Studios in Bermeo. The album was released in September and Mistweaver signs to Zero Rec, re-releasing the album in December. This album also was supported by Medusa productions and is STILL AVAILABLE there!!! A new change of bassist and the band goes to play abroad for first time, going to Portugal for two dates in February 2002. More gigs and meanwhile the creation of the new album was happening and in October Mistweaver flies to Germany to record the second full lenght “The Aftermath”, at Spacelab Studios. The album would be released in June 2003 with Deepsend Recs from USA after breaking the contrat with Zero. That was the chance to go to play to that country, playing at the well known Milwaukee Metalfest. In 2004 Mistweaver signs to the label Golden Lake from Scotland and during the first three months of 2005 the band recorded a new masterpiece, “Age of Darkness” at VRS studio in Madrid and mastering the stuff at Finnvox in Finland. Unfortunately more changes of line up came to the band and also the label closed its doors, so the activity for gigs was not very regular. But the new songs were breeding and so the band decides to hire a session drummer for the recording of the new album and so the drum tracks were recorded in March 2007 at Tribal Art Studios in Gerona. The rest of the album was supposed to be recorded in September but because of different causes has to be delayed until May 2008. Meanwhile the line up is ready to play with a new drummer. Then in May the new album was recorded, this time at Sonic Train Studios in Sweden and the title is “Tales from the Grave”. At the moment Mistweaver is supported by labels like Casket (UK), Medusa (GER) and Khaosmaster (USA), but still is looking for a label which gives them a deal!

Since 2002 GATECRUSHER have been following a definite way: the way of their emotions. Emotions always aim at different directions and never move in a straight way, but they have the same root – good and evil don't really exist, they are one. Exactly this is the core of the band's background: both their lyrics and their music contain as much hardness as lifeblood, as much melancholy as vitality, packed up to a colourful bunch of terrific melodies and shaking rhythmics. The five different influences of the band's members added up create melodic death metal of Scandinavian nature. Highly technically versed guitar melodies in two voices and brilliant solos, thunderous double bass parts and the distinctive death metal voice are significant for the style of GATECRUSHER.
After a small tour through Germany the band had to split unintendedly, because nearly all musicians had to move due to study or work reasons. There was silence around GATECRUSHER for nearly two years. At last, in September 2007 the time had come for reunion. Two new musicians blended in, brand-new songs were forged to hard steel, fused with the old material. Since October 2007 GATECRUSHER are blowing a new hot-cold wind at their audience – loud and unplugged!

Biography of Dark Faces

Dark Faces from Bavaria/Germany was founded in 2001 as Gothic/Death-Metal combo, the first demo “Visions of Darkness” has been recorded in Dezember 2003 and received good reviews in lots of Underground magazines.

From 2003 til 2005 Dark Faces played a bunch of shows with wellknown Bands, for example with Brainstorm, Dew Scented, Haggard, Holy Moses, Graveworm a.m.m.

In March / April 2006 the 2nd Album “The Path” has been recorded at the 2nd floor museum studio. The sound has improved a lot and the technical skill of the musicians increased as well - this album became much faster and harder than the first release. Pounding guitar riffs, double-bass blastbeat-attacks in combination with melodic arrangements build the base for this Underground-highlight. Changing passages of female & male vocals in the vein of “the Beauty and the Beast” make this release very ownstanding.

In January 2007 Dark Faces could reach a deal with Medusa Productions to get more promoted in the scene and to get their name spread in the Metal world as possible.

Biography of HATRED DIVINE:

1999
The band is founded by Seth (b/v) and Kurios (g/v). In the same year the “From the past”-Demo is recorded by using a drumcomputer. The musical style at this time could still be described as "old-school Black Metal".
2001
“The mirror which flatters not” is a home-recording, but the first “official” demo, which has been traded not onlyexclusively in the band’s circle of friends. Lineup for now: Seth (g), Kurios (g/v), Sakkak (b). The first live-gigs are following. Later this year Akatash (v) and Stefan (g) replaces Kurios.
2002
In February a prequel to the “Bavarian Battle” festival is organized. The rest of the year is marked by various leavings, downtimes and joinings of miscellaneous bandmembers. At the end of the year a solid lineup is established again: Seth (g), Sakkak (b), Akatash (v) and Nidhoegg (g). Furthermore programmed keyboards are used more and more.
2003
Completing and releasing of the self-produced CD-R “Of light and the absence of light” in January. Later the lineup finally is completed by Svarrogh (dr). Some rehearsals are done with miscellaneous keyboarders, too, but none of them joined the band. The new material is presented live extensively.
2004
Though there are only self-productions available at this moment, the live-gig’s quality increased continously. From now on the band is supporting acts like Agathodaimon, Mystic Circle, Guerilla, Belphegor, Funebris, Nocte Obducta and so on.. At the same time the next recording is planned, with which a record-deal should be achieved.
2005
The first “Bavarian Battle” festival takes place with Tankard as headliner. In spring a gig with Korozy in Sofia / Bulgaria follows. In July the band starts to record “Blindfolded eyes...” in a sound studio (for the first time),named XV records-studio.
The very covincing result is released now by Medusa Productions... ENJOY THE REALMS OF HATRED DIVINE!!!

Biography of SVARROGH:

Svarrogh - that´s the name of the ancient slavian God of the domestic Fires and the Sun - is the soloproject of Dimo Dimov (who is also playing in Hatred Divine and Viszeral), a Bulgarian living in Germany who has founded Svarrogh in Summer of 2001. Since October 2001 until Juni 2002 there have been recorded 4 demos, Svarrogh Demo 2001, Skryb, Potoceta Nemirni and Slavonic Tears. The last Demo got some more or less positive reviews in several German magazines. In the autumn of 2002 the Recording Sessions of 15 songs for the Debut album Baxas Xebeshéth 1883 started, so finally it could be released in the beginning of the year 2003, is the first official release of Svarrogh.

In July 2003 a Split-CD was released with the Lithuanian Band Ravenclaw (now Folkearth) on Atlantida Productions. AMF Production from Bulgaria also showed interest to distribute Svarrogh in the Bulgarian metal scene. The newest release is a Split Tape with Svarrogh and Viszeral.

Dimo is responsible for the whole songwriting as well as for the instrumental performance. Each album was recorded in his Home Studio in a very primitive, but efficient way. On the four older Demos there have been two guest musicians, Annette Loy playing a Clarinet and Andreas Niedhammer playing a Violin. But on the Debut Album there are three new guest musicians who were a very big help for Svarrogh with some grinding vocals, bass and guitar solos (Horus from GromOtoric, Andreas Kaltner from Silentyum).

The first Live gig of Svarrogh will be played at a small festival in Rosenheim in the first months of 2004 (Trümmernacht Metlafest).

The music of Svarrogh is Bitov Bulgarian Folk Black/Death metal with many elements of other music directions like Classic or Neo Jazz. The term Bitov is given because of the ancient, folklore topics within the music. Bitov can be translated as "Old, homeland music, traditional, folklore, bulgarian mountain life-style". The bulgarian music elements are shown by the Kaval Flute and by the Kaba Gaida (bulgarian Bagpipe). Most guitar arrangements and also some songstructures are influenced by typical bulgarian folklore arrangements.

This is pure individualistical music which nobody is able to understand except yourself – Dimo Dimov is probably the only one Bulgarian in Germany who wants to create such a music, called Bitov Bulgarian Black Metal. “Bitov” means ancient folk bulgarian habits and traditional culture/way of life.
It is just impossible to translate the lyrics into another language because it would destroy the beauty of the words, the meaning of the text, the archaic dialect and the abstract-obscure modern phrases which can be only expressed by pure and untouched bulgarian language.

Biography of DEAD EMOTIONS:

Dead Emotions was founded in 1996 as dark/death-metal combo and quickly gained local attention by playing many shows.
1999 saw Gates to the unseen released as Dead Emotions' first self-produced album that grew quite popular in the german underground and received many good reviews in several magazines (Rock Hard, Legacy, Ablaze, Orkus and more).
First contacts to record labels emerged after Gates to the Unseen was elected Demo of Month Sept. 2000 in the HAMMER magazine.
After the first edition of Gates to the Unseen was sold out in September 2001, Dead Emotions signed a contract with
Medusa Productions, who immensly helped to increase the worldwide's Underground attention and distribution of the album's second edition.
The new album The Genesis Behind sounds technically more experienced, faster, harder and at the same time much groovier than it's predecessor. In addition to the perfectly produced sound, the new album mainly stands out because of it's powerful riffs, haunting melodies, boosting dynamic parts and musical independance.
In Fall 2003, after signing a distribution contract with MDD Records, together with the outstanding new album and running negotiations for a Germany tour in 2004, the band is curiously looking into an interesting future...

Biography of DISPATCHED:
T H E S O U N D O F I N T E N S E A N D D A R K H E A V Y N E S S
DISPATCHED was formed in late 1991 by the guitarplayer Daniel Lundberg and the vocalist Chris Andersson. Together with Jonas Kimbrell and Emanuel Åström, this four piece did 4 recordings from 1992 – 1994. Two of them where recorded in famous Unisound (Dan Swanö) and the later recording in 1994 resulted in a 7”EP “Awaiting the end” the year after (1995) and the MCD “Blackshadows” 1996. The recording 1994 was the last one with this line-up and the first era of Dispatched ended shortly after the recording 1994.
In 1996 DISPATCHED was once again a functional band, with totally new members – with Daniel Lundberg as the only remaining member from the first era. With an unstable line-up, DISPATCHED tried to do a demo with the new band, this resulted in a recording 1997 that later was released as the MCD “Returned to your mind” at the same year. After this recording the line-up was complete, Daniel Lundberg on Leadguitar, Fredrik Karlsson on Vocals, Emil Larsson on Guitar, Fredrik Larsson on Bass and Dennis Nilsson on Drums. These five guys went to the famous studio Abyss (Tommy Tägtgren) in 1998 to do another demo, which was released as the MCD “Promised land”. With completing the sound of the band with this line-up, they went back to Abyss again the next year to record their first album. A deal with Music For Nations (UK) was signed for the album, and in the summer of 2000 the album “Motherwar” was released. Fredrik Larsson was at this time replaced by Mattias Hellman on bass and the band went to famous Studio Fredman (Anders Fridén) in 2001, to record the 2nd album of the band. However, due to some problems, this record was never released at this time and the band just continued to write songs and do some live shows. In the autumn of 2002 the band decides to go separate ways and the 2nd and last era of DISPATCHED ends here…
Many of DISPATCHED's fans have requested a release of the last unreleased album from 2001, and a deal is made in 2003 of releasing this recording as the album “Terrorizer” 2003.

Biography of DAEMONLORD:

DAEMONLORD from Basque country/Spain was born from the brain of Kepa, founder of the band.The idea of what's DAEMONLORD now begins to take form in Summer 2000. After writing some songs, Kepa decided to show them to a few friends, asking them for a vocal collaboration.
Finally Sixto of Moonshine accepted, and they recorded their first demo, titled "Unsacred Soul". They released over 50 copies in CD-R format, but immediately they also began to distribute it in Tape format, with an edition of over 450 copies. Then Satanachia and Hades Prods. from Portugal, showed their interest in re-releasing this demo with an extra track. This was a limited edition of 300 copies. After studying a few offers and being betrayed by some bastards, DAEMONLORD cooperated with Wolf Records, who released their second demo, "As Bastard as God", limited to 350 copies. After this they accepted the offer of releasing this stuff as a Split-Cd, which was released in spring 2002 through a Scandinavian label .
Since autumn 2001 it's planned, to release a debut full-length album with the help of the German Promo-Company MEDUSA PRODUCTIONS to spread the name DAEMONLORD and to distribute the debut worldwide.
In 2002 the Band changed their name from Demonlord into DAEMONLORD, because (as so often) another Band with the name exists.

Biography of SOMBER SERENITY (since 2000)
SMBER SERENITY IS A DARK METAL BAND FROM SOUTHERN GERMANY, PRESENT IN THE UNDERGROUND SINCE 1995.

2000
In February of this year we had the chance to play our most important gig until that time. We played as the opener for THE GATHERING and MY DYING BRIDE at the Metropolis in Munich. Beside this gig we played three more in Munich, Neufahrn and Willmering with TRINITY (now CYBERYA), HEREAFTER AND NOW (now DEEP INSIDE MYSELF), DEAD EMOTIONS and LUNAR AURORA for example.
Early 2000 we got our second offer from a small label, but after some month we had to admit that the company wasn´t trustworthy, so we refused this contract too.
Without a contract we entered the LITTLE DREAM studio to record our first full-lenght CD in june 2000 and we mixed and mastered the CD at the DREAMSCAPE studio with Jan Vacik in august.
In may we got in contact with Mike Schindler from DRAGON DESIGN, because we were looking for a cover artwork and in august we received the picture from him, which is now the cover of our CD.
With our now recorded album we started again to spread it to some record labels, but unfortunately we didn't get an offer.

2001
Bass player Manuel Iosca left the band at the end of february and the bad bandfeeling which we had at that time ended up in another split and we continued SOMBER SERENITY without Daniel Varoß.
After a few weeks we could start again to rehearse with our new members Michael Knöringer on vocals and Árpád Jakab on bass. We were still searching for a new guitar player and so we couldn't play gigs that year.
Somewhere in that time of rebuilding SOMBER SERENITY we got an offer from Mike Schindler and Conny Renner who wanted to start a promotion and distribution agency under the banner of MEDUSA PRODUCTIONS. We financed the production of our CD and with this signed contract we finally released our "Singular" CD in cooperation with them in November '01!

2002
Early '02 Christian Löbering became our new guitar player and with this new Line-up we played our first gig at the end of march.
We started to record three new tracks and a rewritten version of our old demo track "cold embrace" for a new promo CD in june, but we had to stop this recording session due to technical problems. After we had played six more gigs in Munich, Landshut, Ellbach, Mindelheim, Augsburg and Ulm we recorded the promo CD again in december.
At the end of that year Árpád Jakab left us, cause he had the chance to work at the University in Vancouver / Canada to get his doctor degree. A few weeks before Árpád left we started to rehearse with our new bass player Max Marquardt, who is also a member of SYCRONOMICA.
